Welcome!

Welcome to The Made at Home Mom!
After about a year of using essential oils in my home, I've decided to branch out a bit and start a blog.
Here you will find recipes, diffuser blends, tips and tricks to using oils in your own home.

I was completely sold on the use of EOs when my oldest son broke his foot. We were knee deep in the hockey season and there he was, on the couch, with a broken foot. I broke out my voodoo kit*, did a little research and started applying oils.  Needless to say, he was healed and ready to play again in about 6 weeks. That's 3-4 weeks sooner than we had anticipated.
Fast forward to late spring. My youngest fell on an open drawer and punched a good sized hole into his leg. I could see bone. After a trip to the urgent care to get stitches, I broke out my voodoo kit again, and faithfully applied oils everyday. I only gave him 1 dose of tylenol after we got home from the urgent care and after that I relied on my oils to help with the pain and discomfort. I eased the itchiness, I helped lessen the scar, I helped my son feel better with all natural and pure oils. I felt like a good mom for that.
The more I research and learn, the more I love my oils. I've joined up with SparkNaturals.com as an affiliate to offer a 10% off coupon code for your order. Just use COLEE when it asks for a code. It's simple. No parties, no selling stuff… just a code. More than anything, I just want to share what I know and what Im learning to help other people out there be able to help their families in a more natural and cost effective way. What I spent on oils was way cheaper than all the chemical filled stuff from the store. Oils are versatile, natural, cost effective and most of the time they smell great. Win win eh?
Thanks for joining me on my journey, I hope I can shed some light on things and help out any way I can.

*what my kids call my big box of essential oils. Every good witch doctor needs a voodoo kit. *wink*
